Blue Prince | How to open the Antechamber

Your destination being closed off is incredibly frustrating, but you can open it with the right tools.
Blue Prince Antechamber

Nothing is ever quite straightforward in Blue Prince, not least your journey to the Antechamber. However, what you’ll find if you do manage to get high enough up the ranks and successfully complete the Tetris-like challenge of getting a doorway to connect to the Antechamber, is that access into the Antechamber is blocked. And you may be wondering what to do, and even what the point of it all has been up to this point. Well, at Loot Level Chill, we’ve spent countless hours on Blue Prince and can give you the rundown about what’s happening and what you need to do. Read on to discover how to open the Antechamber in Blue Prince.

SPOILER WARNING

As with most things in Blue Prince, part of the fun is self-discovery, and below this spoiler warning we will be revealing plenty of secrets of the game. We encourage you to try and find out the solutions to puzzles on your own to get the full experience of Blue Prince. Only read on if you do not mind some of those secrets being spoiled.

Please bear in mind that some of these spoilers are for later in the game than some of our other guides, and spoil significant puzzles and areas you may not have discovered on your own. You have been warned.

Is the Antechamber always closed?

Yes, at the start of every new day, the Antechamber room will always be in the same place, and all three doors leading into it, from the west, east, and south will be blocked off. This will always present you with a challenge, even if you do manage to line up one or more doors to the entrance to the Antechamber on any given day.

If I open the Antechamber, does it stay open?

When you manage to open doors to the Antechamber, they only remain open for that day. Like most other things in Blue Prince, the doors in the Antechamber are closed again at the start of every day, and must be reopened in order to get inside.

How to open the Antechamber in Blue Prince

Each door is opened separately, and each by a lever hidden in a specific room you can draft into the house.

SPOILER WARNING

If based on the above information, you wish to go and search on your own for these levers, here at Loot Level Chill, we encourage you to do so, given the nature and fun of discovery in Blue Prince. Below we will be revealing the locations of the levers, so only keep reading if you do not wish to discover them on your own.

Still here? OK

West Lever: Secret Garden

To access the West Lever, and open the West door of the Antechamber, you will need to access the Secret Garden room. For this, you will need to get ahold of the Secret Garden Key, and use it appropriately to unlock the Secret Garden. We have a full guide here on how to locate the Secret Garden Key and what you need to do with it.

Once inside the Secret Garden, you will need to solve a simple puzzle to do with the weather vane that is atop the fountain. You basically need to rotate the wheels either side of the fountain so that every arrow is pointing West. Once you have done so, the lever will appear in a gap in the wall. Go ahead and interact with it to open the West door to the Antechamber.

South Lever: Greenhouse

To access the South Lever, you will need to draft the Greenhouse, which is a rare Green room, that can only be drafted on the East Wing of the house. You will also need to find the Broken Lever item to get this to work. Items can be found in rooms such as the Workshop and Attic. If you have the Broken Lever, and you draft a Greenhouse, you need to use the Broken Lever on the lever slot on the wall. Doing so will open up the South door to the Antechamber.

East Lever: Great Hall

The Great Hall is a corridor room, with 7 locked doors. It is a good idea to go into this with either a lot of keys, or a Lockpick, or try drafting the Foyer room first to unlock all corridor room doors up front. When in the Great Hall, the placement of the lever won’t always be the same. You can get a view of the layout of the Great Hall from the Drafting Studio but given the rarity of that room, having an approach to unlock the doors and just see what is behind each one is far more sensible.

Eventually, you will locate the lever. Pull it and you will open the East door to the Antechamber.

What next?

With one or more doors open, you now just need to make your way via rooms to that specific open door. If you can, you will find you can now enter the Antechamber. Congratulations! Hidden in the house, there are actually alternative ways to open the Antechamber doors than those listed above, see if you can find them yourself.
