If you’re stood in Harry’s office in Call of the Elder Gods trying to work out where the missing book from his bizarre bookshelf is then look no further, we’ve got you covered in our simple to understand guide.
Forget about moving books around for now, first you need to find the book that’s missing from the shelf. Luckily Harry has left a note to say that he’s moved it to the greenhouse, but to get in there you’ll first need to get the key from the mausoleum.
You’ll find the mausoleum just past the greenhouse but it’s locked by an intricate and slightly creepy mechanism involving creepy faces locked in different expressions. All you need to do is find the five statues dotted around the grounds and point them at the corresponding symbols from the door.
We’ll work our way through them starting at the mausoleum door:
- Statue 1: This one’s easy, it’s right by the door. It needs to be pointed at the door too.
- Statue 2: Right of the greenhouse entrance under a pagoda. Face it towards the podium holding some ashes.
- Statue 3: Past the pagoda and next to the statue of Norah. This one’s a bit tricky, if you didn’t explore the house fully you’ll have missed the photograph that shows the symbol was etched onto the tree that has since been cut down. Point the statue at the tree stump.
- Statue 4: Head back towards the greenhouse, make a right and it’s just to the left of the bridge. Look up at the greenhouse through the bushes and you’ll see the symbol so face the statue at it.
- Statue 5: Over the bridge, left then over the other bridge. It’s next to a small well which you’ll need to use to bring up the symbol, then point the statue at it.
Once these are all done you’ll be able to enter the mausoleum and after the cutscene you can collect the key and check out the painting too. Take the key to the greenhouse and you’ll find the missing book.
