Aniplex has announced Resident Evil Survival Unit, a new mobile strategy game that’s being co-developed with JOYCITY, and “in close collaboration” with Capcom.
More will be revealed during a digital showcase next week (Thursday, July 10th) via the official website, but it’s worth noting pre-registration is also available now.
The developer says: “Resident Evil Survival Unit offers a fresh take on the beloved franchise, reimagining the survival horror universe as a real-time strategy experience optimized for mobile platforms, iOS and Android. The game is designed to appeal to both longtime fans and new players, and will be released globally across Japan, South Korea, North America, Europe, and Asia.”
Aniplex recently published The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, one of the best games of 2025, so fingers crossed this mobile iteration of Resident Evil lives up to that level of quality.
Elsewhere, Resident Evil Requiem has been announced for 2026, and will feature a protagonist related to the online Outbreak series from way back in the early years of the series.
Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth title in the mainline Resident Evil series.
