Belgian developer and publisher Rogueside Games has today announced Devil Jam, a hand-drawn visuals, Metal-themed survivor-like with beat-driven combat set in Hell. The game offers a unique 12-slot inventory system, allowing for near-infinite demonic builds, and is expected to release this year in Q3 on Steam, and later on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
You can check out the announcement trailer for Devil Jam below:
In Devil Jam you start as a washed-up musician, stumbling across a crossroads when a hooded figure approaches and asks for your guitar. As they tune it, they ask if you still want to play a gig and hand you a contract. The moment you sign it, you’re dragged to hell because the cloaked figure was none other than the Devil himself, and you’ve just agreed to play for him.
Now, trapped in the underworld, you must carve out your legend by jamming to the music while fending off endless hordes of fanatical groupies, angry mobs, and rival musicians. Your ultimate goal is to defeat the greatest metal singer of all time, Death, and claim your place as an immortal, legendary musician.
Devil Jam Features
Below are some of the key features you can expect from Devil Jam:
- Rhythm-based auto-attacking patterns
- A unique inventory system where power and weapon placement matters
- Hand-drawn characters, effects, enemies, and bosses
- Semi-randomly generated world with lootable shrines
- Over 4.93 quadrillion possible inventory combinations (excluding passives)
Devil Jam is clearly giving off Vampire Survivors vibes with the number of enemies on screen that you’ll have to tackle, but from the brief glimpse we can see from the announcement trailer, it really does seem that you can customise your loadouts as significantly as they claim. Anyone with a penchant for survivor-likes and beat games should keep an eye on this one.
Devil Jam release on PC via Steam in Q3 2025, and then later on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
