We now have details from Konami on how the two main games in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol 2 will perform across the various consoles.
In case you’d forgotten, Vol 2 includes two headline games of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker as well as some bonus stuff including oft-forgotten Gameboy Colour entry Metal Gear Solid Ghost Babel.
The good news is that performance looks to be strong everywhere! Below is what you can expect from the games on your platforms of choice:
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- PS5/PS5 Pro: 60fps and up to 3840 x 2160 output resolution
- Xbox Series X: 60fps and up to 3840 x 2160 output resolution
- Xbox Series S: 60fps and up to 2560 x 1440 output resolution
- Nintendo Switch (Docked): 30fps and 1920 x 1080 output resolution
- Nintendo Switch (Handheld): 30fps and 1280 x 720 output resolution
- Nintendo Switch 2 (Docked): 60fps and 3840 x 2160 output resolution
- Nintendo Switch 2 (Handheld): 60fps and 1920 x 1080 output resolution
- Steam: 60fps and up to 3840 x 2160 output resolution
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Peace Walker comes with a few options for resolutions on all platforms except the OG Switch. You can play at the original resolution, an adjusted variation or opt for a high resolution mode for optimum clarity. Likewise, the game is 60fps everywhere except the OG Switch where it’s 30fps.
