Publisher The Arcade Crew has announced a demo for upcoming dark fantasy, deckbuilding roguelike title, along with a new trailer for the Club Sandwich developed title.
The title is coming to PC later in 2025, with the team saying: “Guide inventive reimaginings of classic fantasy warrior types, like a spell-slinging cat mage who can deploy elemental Mana Pylons on the battlefield, through battles blending the tense heights of tactical unit positioning and deckbuilding; download the demo on Steam before March 3”.
Here’s the key features from the demo you can play:
- Two distinctly powerful playable characters, each with their own abilities:
- The Doberknight, a sword-hurling powerhouse that can kick foes into optimal positions and spread fire to surrounding tiles or foes alike. Cunning fighters can also unlock an alternate kit of abilities to maximize the Doberknight’s strategic potential.
- Catalina, a master of elemental magic and a noble who has forgone a pampered life to spy for her house and avenge her parents from the battlefield.
- Five total sidekicks, each with different abilities to aid you in battle (two are unlockable)
- Forge your path across two biomes: the dilapidated outskirts of a Capital known as The Deluge, and The Snarl, a lush forest teeming with menacing creatures.
- Encounter four total bosses (two boss fights per run, randomly selected for each biome)
- Access to half of Shuffle Tactics’ total number of cards, charms, and relics

At the end of each fight, players will receive rewards including a choice between three cards, a sidekick hire, random relics, random card charms, access to a shop to spend your hard-earned gold, a card upgrade, and a sidekick level up. Be mindful of the sidekicks you choose, as only up to four sidekicks can be hired during a run. Players can recruit from a roster of 20 unique sidekicks, each skilled in areas like healing, magic, and archery, to support Asteria’s savior in battle. By hiring these allies, players can unlock powerful synergies and create formidable teams. Discovering mythical relics will further enhance tactical options, offering new possibilities in each battle.
Admire Shuffle Tactics’ weaving of 2D pixel art with 3D environments as you strategize your path to victory, and claim your rightful place as Asteria’s new King. Tacticians must navigate sprawling 3D battlefields, where every angle and elevation can mean the difference between victory and defeat, emphasizing the critical importance of positioning. For warlords with a competitive edge, medals will be awarded to players with the fastest run, lowest damage received during a run, and biggest single attack damage.
