3D Realms and Knights Peak have together announced that a demo for Tempest Rising is now available as part of Steam Next Fest, ahead of the April 24th release date.
The demo will be available until March 10th, and the team says that: Tempest Rising’s Steam Next Fest demo features the first two missions from each of the game’s two single-player campaigns”, adding ” In a battle-scarred, alternate-history 1997 where the Cuban Missile Crisis went nuclear, you’ll experience fast, fluid and hard-hitting RTS warfare as both the Global Defense Forces (GDF) and Tempest Dynasty (DYN) factions, each with their own unique units and strategies. Players can also face off against the AI in the demo’s PvE skirmish mode, which features three maps.”
The game is actually also available now to pre-order, with both a standard edition and a deluxe (10 dollars more expensive), though it includes:
- One week of advanced access to the full game, including multiplayer and skirmish mode
- A digital artbook showcasing the art and lore of Tempest Rising
- The full digital game soundtrack, featuring 41 tracks from legendary Command & Conquer composer Frank Klepacki, plus community favorites like Michael Markie, Hexenkraft, Music Imaginary: Cielecki/Skorupa/Wierzynkiewic, and Sigurd Jøhnk-Jensen.
