Gayming Foundation and Gayming Magazine have announced the existence of The Gayming Pride Parade. This official Summer Games Fest community showcase will go live at 12pm PT (6pm in the UK) and will feature the latest LGBTQ+ games and creators. With so many fantastic queer gaming experiences releasing every year, I can’t think of much more exciting than an event that’ll show of some of the most exciting of the bunch.
“Summer Game Fest has become one of the industry’s biggest moments for discovering new games and celebrating the future of interactive entertainment,” said Robin Gray, founder of Gayming Magazine and executive director of Gayming Foundation. “With the Gayming Pride Parade, we wanted to create a dedicated space within that global celebration to spotlight LGBTQ+ developers, creators and stories while also delivering the kind of exciting reveals, updates and surprises audiences expect during showcase season.”
So far multiple games have been announced for the showcase. The first of these Wylde Society is the sequel to the wonderful Wylde Flowers, which brought cosy fun and queer joy into one delightful farming game. This time it’s more of a period drama though, with tea time and glamorous events taking centre stage. Neon Death Drop is on the other end of the gaming rainbow, featuring fast paced action, bullet hell, and of course go-go dance combat.
Art of Solitaire will also feature in the showcase, with its classic card games and gorgeous decks to play with. Last but by no means least Spill the Beans is joining the parade. This visual novel features a murder mystery with a twist, you’re the culprit. Can you manipulate your way out of trouble and escape being caught? I sure hope so, because it sounds like a blast.
There will be plenty of other games and surprises in the Gayming Pride Parade, all revealed by the fabulous hosts. Award winning streamer MiladyConfetti and Drag Race star Jax will take us through all the latest LGBTQ+ gaming announcements, and I can’t to watch along.
