Nacon Full HD Webcam review

Nacon Full HD Webcam

Nacon has spent the last decade or so getting their fingers into as many pies as possible, from designing officially licensed PS5 controllers to pushing games like Greedfall 2: The Dying World, and while the company itself has fallen on some hard times, filing for insolvency at the start of 2026, by and large Nacon has always produced a pretty reliable product. So how does the Nacon Full HD Webcam stack up?

First of all, it looks pretty cool. Ironically, as it’s the one thing your watchers will never see, this webcam has a very nice design. It comes with an attached ring light, too, which is adjustable for brightness. For anyone struggling with low light or even the positioning of a separate ring light, this is a winner. It’s a decent light, too, and doesn’t blind you with its glare. And, of course, you can turn it off if you choose to.

The webcam has a straight USB-C to USB-A cable, and you won’t need to install any software or faff around with settings. Plug it in, and get on with it. This is fairly important for newcomers, but is also hardly a unique selling point. Most webcams these days are simple enough to use. So, beyond the light, what does the Nacon Full HD Webcam bring to the party?

Not really all that much to write home about, to be honest. It comes with an easy-to-mount clip that affixes right to your monitor, or has a small rig that will let you attach it to a boom or tripod. Again, nothing particularly new, and sadly the quality just isn’t quite there for me, I’ve been using an AverMedia PW313 Cam for several years, and even though it’s a little cheaper and older, it outperforms the Nacon Full HD Webcam in that regard. While 30 FPS with a 1080p resolution is fine in paper, I’m just not seeing the crispness that I want, even with the ring light switched on.

As a starter webcam for beginners, this isn’t a bad choice, but there are better options out there that will cost less – unless you really, really need that ring light. Webcams aren’t particularly sturdy as a rule so I won’t deduct points for its lightweight feel, but the fact that the quality isn’t great in a £60 webcam is a little disappointing. The ring light is a definite convenience, but a recommendation for this product really depends on how much you need one.
