Crimson Desert | How to Fast Travel to Camp

Find your way home.

Getting around Pywel in Crimson Desert can be an arduous task at times, as the teleporter pads or “Abyss Nexus” are pretty wide-spread and not always easy to find, even when you’re looking for them. Even when you have unlocked a good number, you’ll still be doing a lot of trekking. But while there is one near the hub city of Hernand in the first region, the one closest to Kliff’s house and the Greymanes camp south of Hernand is much trickier to activate. Read on, and we’ll explain how to fast travel straight to camp (sort of).

First, where is it?
So, the teleporter pad here is actually quite well hidden. If you step out of the front door of Kliff’s house and go left, you’ll reach a short drop. Along that edge, between two trees, is a pile of thick, thorny bracken. The teleporter is under that.

To clear it, you need fire, and the easiest way to produce that is to deflect and focus light with your sword. With your lantern out, press RB so that Kliff catches the lantern light on his blade. Now press and hold LB again, to focus the light onto the bracken, which will cause it to smolder and then burn. Well done, you’ve found it. Problem is, it doesn’t work…

So now what?
Well, the teleporter is missing a very important component: the central pad. And you won’t be able to get it until either Chapter 4 or Chapter 9 of the critical path. Don’t worry though, as we’re going to make sure you can get it in Chapter 4.

First things first, you need a very specific skill that you can get hold of in Chapter 4, but can miss entirely if you don’t do this next part right. If you miss it here, you won’t get it again until Chapter 9. It comes when you’re told to head to Scholarstone. You must follow the road to Scholarstone, and not be tempted to cut cross-country, because on this path you’ll reach a cavernous route blocked by multicoloured stone, and you’ll be able to observe and Axiom spirit using a new skill called Focused Force Palm on the stone. If you don’t observe this moment BEFORE heading to Scholarstone, you’ll miss it.

Anything else?
Yeah, actually. By now you should own a Kuku Pot, given to you by the Dwarves at Kilnden. If not, see our guide on that. If you don’t have a Kuku Pot yet, go get that first.

Now, where do I use the skill?
You’ll need to progress some side quests for Leon Roberts, one of the noble leaders in Hernand. He’ll want you to clear Karin Quarry of Bleed Bandits, see, and that’s where the piece is. You’ll need to head there, wipe out the hundreds of bandits who have taken up residence, and defeat Marni’s Excavatron, a rather infuriating boss with huge drills for hands and a mechanical mining suit.

Once this is done the dig site will be clear and you can walk around unmolested. At this point, you’ll be asked to help retrieve a relic from underground. Don’t be fooled though, as you’re not going down; you’re going up. Jump in the handlift behind the quest-giver and ride it all the way up to the crane control room. You’ll want to use the crane to clamp on to the relic, and pull it out of the ground, exposing a hole.

Drop into the hole and you find yourself underground. Here you will need to use the Focused Force Palm to break through a special wall. Press L3 and R3 to enter focus mode, then hold R3 to aim and charge the blast. Once that’s done, you’ll need to dodge some Axiom tech lasers down here, but use the narrow walls for cover. A little way along the route, you’ll see a huge wheel hovering in the air.

Lash it with your L3 Axiom tether, and then select “Seal” to store it in the Kuku Pot.

Return to the teleporter pad near Kliff’s house, open the pot and choose “Discard”. This may have been patched, but at time of writing “Withdraw” doesn’t work. If Withdraw works, do that instead, I guess. This will drop the stone on the floor.

How tether it, position it over the pad, and stand on it. Jump and use a normal Force Palm to connect it to the rest of the device just as you did in Kilnden. Congratulations, you now have a frankly game-changing method to get back to the Greymanes Camp much, much quicker.
