The latest Hearthstone season, Cataclysm Calls, is now live in Battlegrounds with two new keywords, new and returning trinkets, two new heroes, plus 48 new minions and 61 returning minions.
Here’s what to expect:
- New Keywords: Try out the new keyword for demons: fodder. Add fodder tokens to your minion pool and watch your demons feast on them to gain stats. Then try your hand at the new keyword for dragons: Chromadrake. Coming in five chromtastic colours, each chromadrake provides a unique effect that enhances both your dragons and your tavern spells.
- Returning Mechanic: Trinkets. They’re back, with 73 new trinkets and 149 returning trinkets designed to offer you better, more synergistic plays.
- New Heroes: Meet the newest heroes to take your comp to victory: Genn, Worgen King (with King of Duality ability) and Mister Clocksworth (with Double Time ability).
- Battlegrounds Track Refresh: On April 14, Battlegrounds Season 12 will end, and Season 13 will begin. Battlegrounds ratings will reset, and the Battlegrounds Track will reset to include Cataclysm-themed cosmetics, and more.
Battle in the Firelands event
From April 14 to May 5, get ready to leap out of the pan and into the Firelands. In his alternate timeline, Ragnaros consumed the World Tree, and now this corrupted Firelord is looking to turn ours into a roaring bonfire. Join Malfurion and stamp out the threat before everything goes up in flames. Succeed, and earn rewards including cards, packs, a coin, and a hero skin.
