Today, ATLUS released the Nintendo Switch 2 Prologue Demo for popular fantasy RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, available now on the game’s Nintendo Store page.
In the demo, players can experience some of the early-game narrative, explore social elements and discover the United Kingdom of Euchronia. Progression from the demo will carry over to the launch version, so Nintendo Switch 2 players can treat this as a head start on their adventures ahead of the game’s launch on November 12.
The Prologue Demo includes:

The beginning of the journey to lift the curse of the prince.

The first four dungeons.

The ability to unlock seven of the 40+ classes called “Archetypes”.

Metaphor: ReFantazio’s marked its second anniversary this past weekend on October 11. In 2024, Metaphor: ReFantazio received rave reviews and sold one million units on launch day, making it ATLUS’ fastest-selling game to date. The RPG was one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2024, with a 94 Metacritic score and The Game Awards wins for Best Role-Playing Game, Best Narrative and Best Art Direction.
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are available now. Metaphor: ReFantazio launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, 2026, and it is currently available on XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
