Lost in Random: The Eternal Die gets new dev-diary: “A Sound of Fortune”

Aiming for a Q2 2025 release date.
Lost in Random: The Eternal Die

Stormteller Games along with publisher Thunderful has release a new developer diary for Lost in Random: The Eternal Die called “A Sound of Fortune”.

This follows on from the last developer diary released in April, which focused on the narrative of the game, whereby it was explained that this new title isn’t “Lost in Random 2”.  We’re quite looking forward to this one, and featured it in our “five Steam next fest demos to try asap” feature from March, most of which are either still coming soon, or have released to a decent review score.

This new video features Ola Backstrom-Berg, the sound designer and composer for Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, and focuses in on the sound design, which Ola says sounds “dark”. He adds “the sound design is borderline cartoonish, sometimes”. Watch the new video, below:

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die blends dynamic real-time action, tactical combat, and risk-reward dice mechanics for thrilling second-to-second battles.

Unravel an original stand-alone story as Queen Aleksandra, the once great ruler of Random on a mission for vengeance and redemption.

Wield an arsenal of four unique weapons, unleash powerful card-based abilities, harness elemental relics and strategically roll your trusted die-companion, Fortune, to shift the tide of battle. Or take on high-stakes wager games where the right roll could lead to incredible rewards… or crushing consequences.

Even death isn’t final – return to the Sanctuary to unlock new weapons, buy powerful upgrades, and take on quests from your allies to prepare for your next run.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is coming to PCSwitchXbox Series S|X, and PlayStation 5 in Q2 2025.
