The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will be taking centre stage in Fortnite when the new season, titled ‘Shock ‘N Awesome,’ drops on August 7. A trailer was released yesterday that shows off what fans can expect from Chapter 6 Season 4. The live action trailer harks back to the OG series and it looks just as cheesy as it did back then. It features the red, blue and yellow ranger taking on waves of bugs with a host of familiar Fortnite characters.
Ending with a huge bug arriving from under the surface, it is squashed by Megazord. More details are set to be released soon. What we do know is that the Power Rangers will be arriving in the shop mid-August. Players will be able to purchase the Red Ranger, Black Ranger, Pink Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Blue Ranger Outfits, as well as the Go Go Power Rangers – Redux Jam Track. As for Battle Pass holders, the Dino Megazord Outfit can be unlocked by completing quests from September 16. There’s also a mid-Season takeover involving Megazord.
Hopefully we’ll find out more about the arrival of Tommy aka the Green and White Ranger too. The current season has been a lot of fun, with superheroes as the main theme. Superman has been a part of this season, allowing players to earn two different skins as well as being given the chance to embrace the powers of the son of Krypton. Many of the LLC team were kids when the original Power Rangers came out. There’s going to be plenty of references to the show, along with multiple back bling, pickaxes, and wallpapers that gets the nostalgia flowing in a big way.
