Knowledge Points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows are vital in both Naoe and Yauke’s progression. While Mastery Points help to learn to skills, knowledge improves how many can be unlocked. There are multiple ways to earn them, from meditating at temples to praying and collecting scrolls. We’ve put together a handy guide to show you exactly how to earn Knowledge Points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Meditate and pray at shrines
There are plenty of peaceful places located across Japan where you can take part in Kuji-Kiri. It is a meditative practice where you pair nine words from a Chinese poem and hand positions. By pressing four button prompts in succession at the right time, a knowledge point will end up unlocking. Towards the end of the practice, the prompts disappear and it comes down to muscle memory. They get trickier the further you venture across the land. However, they are a great way to improve knowledge.
Kuji-Kiri can also be performed at certain shrines. Shrines also allow Naoe to visit a set number of locations within shrines and pray. Once each one has been found and prayed at by simply pressing Triangle/Y, another knowledge point becomes available. Each shrine is different, but you’ll always know what each one requires of you. Find Lost Pages at Temples
Multiple temples will allow you to find items known as Lost Pages. There are normally three to locate. By pressing L2/LT and using ‘Observe,’ Naoe and Yasuke will find white dots. Find a way to reach them and pick them up. Once all have been found, another knowledge point will be unlocked.
Practice Kata
As Yasuke, there are teachers that are willing to share their knowledge with him. Kata is the act of practicing a chain of moves in a safe space. Like Kuji-Kiri, Yasuke must input prompts at the right time to successfully complete the Kata. Once each stage is completed, another knowledge point will become available.
Horse archery
Yasuke can take part on challenges on horseback called Yabusame. By using a bow and firing at jars as the horse moves forward without stopping, you’ll be able to complete these horse archery challenges. It’s another way to earn Knowledge Points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and it’s particularly fun as well.
Kofuns and Trials
Two more ways to add Knowledge Points in Assassin’ Creed Shadows is by exploring tombs or Kofuns and completing them. Furthermore, there are trials of agility where Naoe must swing, jump, and parkour across a course littered with yellow rags. Once finished, another Knowledge Point is yours.
