At some point in Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo you will find a diamond just sitting there, but what are diamonds for, and what do you do with them? That’s what we’re here to answer, and our handy Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo diamonds guide will help you understand what this part of the game is all about.
First and foremost, it’s worth noting that diamonds are a “persistent” item in Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo. In other words, when you find out, grab it, and you can put it in your hideout. Thanks to the way the system works, all the red manhole covers are linked to the same hideout, so you can stockpile diamonds even if you find one very early on.
While some diamonds are rewards for solving puzzles in the game (and some are tricky), there are others that require you to get high scores in mini-games, like the Museum, where you have to get the best time in the hook shot challenge. There are numerous diamonds in the game, but early on we were wondering one question…
What do you do with diamonds?
We had at least three diamonds stockpiled in Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo early on, but no idea what to do with them. We assumed (rightly, it turned out) that you sell them, but we didn’t want to lose them. Again, it cannot be stressed strongly enough: if you find a diamond, make it your mission to take it to your hideout, and store them on that screen.
As for what you do, well, we just rather answered that. You sell the diamonds, but you can only sell them in one specific shop. Each time you sell one, the value goes up by $100, so selling a few at once can get you cash and also wipe the debt from a high value upgrade loan.
Where is the diamond shop?
You might find the diamond shop in Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo easily enough, but it’s quite a late game location.
The location of the diamond shop is: X+4, Y-8 in the Fadalins Neighborhood. We’d also strongly urge you to explore the manhole nearby for a nice extra diamond. There are quite a few to find, so good luck!
