11 bit studios must be one of the busiest teams around right now, and yet another upcoming game has been shown off via a trailer in the form of Death Howl.
Described as a “Soulslike deck-builder”, a demo is going to be available via Steam Next Fest from June 9th to June 16th, so you can even try this one yourself.
Developed by The Outer Zone, check out the new trailer below:
11 bit studios says: “While the first demo introduced players to the beginning of Death Howl, this new demo picks up right after and lets players explore a brand-new region: the Creek of the Spectral Falls. A fresh biome means new cards to craft, new synergies to discover, and new tactics to master. The demo culminates in a challenging boss fight, as Ro confronts one of the Great Spirits.
Originally announced in January, Death Howl follows Ro, a hunter and mother, as she embarks on a journey full of love, loss, and the slow path toward acceptance. Set in a mysterious world of forgotten lore—where darkness whispers secrets and buried memories await—players build and refine their deck of cards while engaging in strategic, turn-based combat set on a tactical grid.”
In forgotten lands shrouded by myth, Ro—a hunter from a small tribe—is overcome by grief following the death of her beloved son. Guided by voices from another world, she transcends into the realm of spirits, in hopes of bringing him back.
Death Howl weaves an atmospheric tale of grief, healing, and resilience. As Ro, you’ll face relentless spirits in turn-based battles that challenge your tactical sense and adaptability. To succeed, you must craft and master decks of powerful cards and use shamanic totems while unearthing forgotten tales and secrets that shape Ro’s path.
Death Howl is coming to PC via Steam “soon”.
