Studio Wildcard has revealed a two-minute long trailer for ARK: Lost Colony, the first all-original expansion pack for ARK: Survival Ascended. Revealed during the Game Developers Conference 2025, the anime-style trailer showed players what to expect. It also revealed some incredible voice talent coming to the expansion, featuring the Oscar-winning actor Michelle Yeoh.
ARK: Lost Colony will present survivors with thrilling new challenges as they become the hunted in a vast occupied city, and gain access to powerful new kinds of character abilities, unique gear, building systems, and phenomenally exotic tames. Will Survivors be able to face down the demons lurking in Arat Prime, and connect ARK’s past and future?
In this new frozen world, players follow in the footsteps of legendary ARK survivor Mei Yin, on a soul-searching quest deep into the chilling heart of darkness to find answers to long-buried secrets of ARK’s past.
Pre-orders for ARK: Lost Colony will be going live this June, with every purchase immediately unlocking the exclusive preview game content. Hopefully, this will keep players busy until its November release. It features cinematic story sequences created by legendary Japanese animation studio MAPPA. This team are behind animes such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and Chainsaw Man.
The upcoming expansion leads into the events of ARK 2, and features some well-known actors. Michelle Yeoh is one of the finest actors of all time. She won an Academy Award for the excellent Everything Everywhere All At Once, and has featured in films like Wicked and Shang-Chi. Also, Auil’i Cravalho, the voice behind Moana, is also involved, as is Wheel of Time actor Madeleine Madden.
