After the Western release on NCSOFT’s PURPLE in February, Blade & Soul NEO will be getting a release on Steam soon, with players able to wishlist right now. When it comes to Steam, the reimagined MMORPG will feature the same enhanced graphics as the version on PURPLE, along with a fully intact storyline, Infinite Windwalk, intense PvP combat, new combat features, and a powerful character creation tool. There have been two content updates with more to come through the summer of 2025.
The first was called Moonwater Plains – Part 1, and released back in March. It features a level cap increase to 50, a new region and storyline, Moonwater Plains, that takes place in Act 3 of the Epic Quest. Explore the conflict between Talus Dominion and Skyhaven Resistance and learn more about the origin of the Lyn race in this continuation of the story. Part 2 came out in April and spotlights the frigid floors of Blackram’s Cold Storage, centered around the challenging Winter Mane, Kaari Lord, as well as Bloodshade Harbor, the main port of the Eastern Blackram Fleet where players will face Admiral Hae Mujin.
A modern reinterpretation of the original Blade & Soul’s wuxia-themed fantasy world, Blade & Soul NEO enables gamers the opportunity to re-live the original storyline as a hero determined to restore honor to their clan.
Players immediately join the well-known Hongmoon Clan, led by Master Hong, only to witness its sudden destruction by the villainess Jinsoyun and her accomplices, Yura and Gubong. Left to die, MMORPG fans will begin their journey of discovery, intrigue, and adventure, solo or with friends.
