Deck13 Spotlight and Umami Tiger (Matthias Linda) have together announced the long awaited release date for Chained Echoes: Ashes of Elrant.
But the even better news, however, is that you really don’t have to wait too long for it, as it’ll be coming on August 7th (this year) to Steam for PC. The DLC will bring a new playable character, and we’ve now got a new trailer which shows off that lovely new release date.
The trailer description says: “Ashes of Elrant is the official Story DLC for the award winning Chained Echoes. Get yourself ready for a new playable character – the White Wolf, visit new areas, fight over 40 new monsters and bosses and listen to 15 new tracks by mastermind Eddie Marianukroh.”

Ashes of Elrant takes place right before the end of Chained Echoes. While you and your clan are preparing for the final fight, a new call for help reaches the Crimson Wings. This mission will reveal more about the origin of the Order of Leonar and Lenne’s past. What challenges await you in a new land where nothing is as it seems?
The original game was released in December 2022, and regarding the DLC date, the developer said: “We know, we know. We’ve said that Ashes of Elrant would release in Q2 when we announced the DLC. Well, Q2 ended already, right? And the DLC isn’t here yet. Game development is complicated. And while the DLC itself was ready to release by the end of Q2, translations were not. And we still wanted to give it some proper testing to iron out the last small issues. And we decided to wait till we knew the exact date.”
