We’re finishing off the Summer Game Fest season of showcases on a high, and while it’s not quite over yet, Microsoft definitely delivered when it came to their outing.
There were some real heavy hitting first-party games shown, along with plenty of third party stuff and, of course, a lot of it’s coming to XBOX Game Pass Ultimate too so subscribers have a lot to look forward to.
While XBOX has been veering away from exclusives in recent years, it looks like they’re firmly back on the table with two of the biggest games shown, Gears of War E-Day and Clockwork Revolution both announced as console exclusives.
Without further ado, here’s the full list of games shown…
Gears of War E-Day
- Releasing: 6 October 2026
- Available day one on Game Pass
- Console exclusive to XBOX
Despite having a whole post-show section dedicated to it, we opened with Gears too. Set 14 years before the original game, we get a good look at life before things went to shit.
Fable
- Releasing: 23 February 2027
- Available day one on Game Pass
Now we’re talking. Fable was one of my most anticipated for 2026, and although the delay is disappointing, the game is looking lovely and I can’t wait to revisit Albion next year. Hayley Atwell starred in this newest trailer, and I spotted Natasia Demetriou in there too. XBOX have put up a blog focusing on the great cast of talent on offer and there are some real gems in there that I know will bring that classic Fable humour into the modern day.
Halo: Campaign Evolved

A tasty trailer for the upcoming Persona 4 remake! Uncover the mystery of the Midnight Channel and listen to that iconic, catchy soundtrack while you do it.
State of Decay 3
- Releasing: 2027
- Available day one on Game Pass
An interesting trailer for State of Decay 3, choosing to focus on the action of zombie killing rather than the community building and resource management the series is perhaps better known for. Still, it looked good and as a huge fan of the original game, I’m excited to see how this turns out.
Sea of Thieves – Custom Seas
- Releasing: 18 June 2026
- Available day one on Game Pass
A free update letting you create your own games in Sea of Thieves! I’m sure the community will come up with all sorts of wild and wonderful creations with the new tools being added as part of this update.
Metro 2039
- Releasing: February 2027
Continuing the Metro timeline from the original Metro: 2033, this looks like another excellent addition to the long-running series. There’s a new regime in charge, and our fully-voiced protagonist is in for a shock after returning to the Moscow Metro and seeing things have changed.
Bad Magpie
- Releasing: 2027

This charming looking game reminded me a lot of Untitled Goose Game, as it has you playing a cheeky bird scampering around and causing havoc.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember
- Releasing: 2027
- Available day one on Game Pass
Another rock hard entry in the Souls genre, no doubt. Another one coming day one to Game Pass too.

Ever wanted to run your own cult? Join Us might scratch that particular (and slightly worrying) itch. Playable solo or with up to 3 friends, this looks like the perfect candidate for Game Pass.
Senua

Senua’s back and she’s shed the Hellblade title for this latest game. The game is shifting its focus to more heavily lean into the action-adventure, which means a greater emphasis on combat and exploration.

The latest update for the post-apocalyptic MMO was shown, featuring a rather catchy song and details on some upcoming events for players to enjoy.

Revelations is a full campaign expansion for DOOM: The Dark Ages, featuring more ripping, tearing and other such Doomly activities.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour
- Releasing: 2027
Now, I don’t recall a new Crazy Taxi game being announced but maybe I just missed it. Featuring a banger of an Offspring track, this trailer looked the part though and is guaranteed to get a lot of people very excited.
XBOX 25th Anniversary Collection
- Releasing: November 2026
Gamers who absolutely have to have the upcoming XBOX console exclusives or are simply bored of their plain black boxes now have the choice of a retro-styled translucent console and matching controller.
Age of Empires IV: Raiders of the North expansion

The raiders in question are the Vikings and the Scots, in case you were wondering. They’ll be plundering your village and burning your buildings later this year.
Minecraft Dungeons II
- Releasing: 29 September 2026

Originally billed as an accessible, family-friendly dungeon crawler, the original Minecraft Dungeons grew in popularity thanks to regular post-launch support and updates, so it’s no surprise that people are excited for an entirely new entry in the series.
Magicians: The Devil’s Deal
- Releasing: 2027
- Available day one Game Pass
I don’t really know how to describe this. A first-person magic-’em-up? You play as a magician who was sacrificed to the devil and now you need to exact your revenge using a toolbox that includes playing cards, wands and other stage magician staples.
Valor Mortis
- Releasing: 24 September 2026

Persona 6
- Releasing: Who knows?!
- Available day one on Game Pass
It’s fitting that Persona 6 finally got announced at the XBOX show considering its gone from the red palette of Persona 5 to being drenched in green. No real detail was given but we all know it’s going to be great, right?
Spyro: A Realm Beyond
- Releasing: 2027
- Available day one on Game Pass
Spyro is back for a new adventure! He’s charging about, puffing fire and even soaring through the skies in this trailer that long-time fans of the series will surely be hyped for.
Clockwork Revolution
- Releasing: 2027
- Available day one on Game Pass
- Xbox console exclusive
We got an extended look at the upcoming Clockwork Revolution from InExile and it looks excellent. The writing was so sharp and entertaining, and combined with bombastic action it really does look the full package. I appreciated the cheeky twist they did with the date reveal at the end.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
- Releasing: 23 October 2026
And finally we end on a bang with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 which showed off more of the new Korean setting and the new DMZ mode which acts as an extraction shooter.
That’s everything! Overall it was a very good show in my opinion: very similar in pacing to the recent Playstation State of Play and with just as many interesting games shown.
