FragPunk has received a console launch date, meaning players are going to be able to experience the 5v5 hero shooter on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on April 29. Since it launched on PC, it has seen a peak of over 110,000 concurrent players on Steam, and now players will get to join in on console. Due to the delay of a console launch, FragPunk is giving away plenty of rewards. This will include exclusive time-limited events. For those who have purchased the Pioneer Bundle on console, additional gifts will be given out.
The key features for FragPunk on console are as follows:
- Crossplay and Cross Progression: The console version will feature both crossplay and cross-progression with the PC version, enabling players to enjoy FragPunk together across platforms. More detailed information about these cross-platform features will be shared ahead of launch.
- Aim Assist & Optimized Controls: To ensure balance and a smooth gameplay experience, the console version will include enhanced aim assist for controller players. This feature is designed to minimize the disparity between controller and keyboard/mouse input and provides an equally competitive environment for all players.
We here at Loot Level Chill reviewed FragPunk when it came to PC and said “What Fragpunk lacks in subtlety it makes up for with a lack of subtlety. It’s loud and brash and silly and deliberately off-kilter, and that not only makes it fun, but fresh too. Yes certain elements are so overdone by now that they’re hardly worth getting off the loo for, but everything is forgiven thanks to the tremendous Shard Card system and, of course, how it feels to play.
