Rockstar has announced something fans have been waiting on hearing for a long time now: Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders open on June 25th.
Coming to PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S, it almost goes without saying that this is the hottest game of 2026, and maybe of the past decade in some ways.
We’ve also got the official cover art, which you can see below:

With a bit of luck this pre-order date could mean we get a new trailer or more info soon. In the meantime, “Trailer 2” is viewable below, in case somehow you aren’t one of the 165million people who have watched it so far.
The trailer description reads: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive. ”
The synopsis on the official site is short and sweet, saying: “When an easy score lands Jason and Lucia in a conspiracy stretching across the entire state of Leonida, the young criminal couple find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America – forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
It’s highly likely that Grand Theft Auto VI becomes one of the most pre-ordered games in history, we’d guess. It seems nobody is quite willing to take on Grand Theft Auto VI, release date wise, either. Despite all the release dates we now know thanks to a busy Summer Games Fest week / Not-E3-week, the only big title currently slated for November aside GTA6 is Metaphor: ReFantazio on Nintendo Switch 2.
Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S on November 19th. Pre-orders open on June 25th.
