Konami is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the “Castlevania” series with sales, soundtracks and more.
To commemorate this milestone, the original Castlevania is now available for free on the App Store and Google Play for a limited time as well as a sale of up to 80% for “Castlevania” series titles on multiple platforms today, which we’ve detailed below. Other announcements include the release of official soundtracks coming to streaming platforms, the “Castlevania 40th “An Anniversary Orchestral Concert” and merchandise lineup.
The original Castlevania released in 1993 for the Famicom and is now available for free on the App Store and Google Play for a limited-time until October 24, 2026. The first entry in the series introduced vampire hunter Simon Belmont and his battle against Dracula within his infamous castle. Fans can venture on a journey of gothic horror, challenging action and iconic music that has captivated multiple generations.

Additionally, fans of the iconic soundtracks from the series can experience it in person with a special Castlevania orchestral concert, “Castlevania 40th Anniversary An Orchestral Concert”, scheduled for Spring 2027 for London, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Those looking to experience digitally can listen to music from Castlevania Black & Red on streaming platforms on September 26.
