UK prices for Nintendo Switch 2 edition upgrades announced

Variable pricing but the upgrades aren't too bad.
Nintendo Switch 2 edition upgrades - Tears of the Kingdom

Over on the official store, Nintendo UK has announced the prices for the Switch 2 Editions of games, including how much each upgrade will cost.

First up, let’s deal with the full price editions if you just wanted to buy them brand new:

Next, let’s deal with the the cheapest two upgrade prices. Both of these are launch titles on June 5th.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – upgrade pack: £7.99
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – upgrade pack: £7.99

Over to titles coming slightly later.

  • Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV: £16.99 – coming on July 24th

The next game is coming on August 28th:

  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World: £16.99

As you can see, there’s a variation in price for the games themselves, as well as the upgrade prices.

We went hands-on with the Switch 2 recently and said: “I was sure of a few things, going into the hands-on. I was sure that I wouldn’t come away wanting to replay Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. I was wrong. I was sure I didn’t want the new GameCube controller. Oh boy I was wrong. I was absolutely certain that, given I own two Pro Controllers, adding a C-button wasn’t going to make me shell out £75 on a Pro Controller 2 for Switch 2. Three for three, Nintendo, and well played.

The Switch 2 is close, but not close enough. From the games, to the hardware, the updated functionality, and the better components that make load times so much shorter, Nintendo is onto an absolute barnstorming winner, here. I didn’t throw my OLED in the bin, but it no”

Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5th.
