Despite only being out for a short while, it seems The Midnight Walk has already gained enough attention that it’s coming to Film and TV.

Story Kitchen (film and TV), the production company behind Sonic the Hedgehog and Tomb Raider has teamed up with the developer MoonHood Studios for this project. It’s all in very early development, and the teams are currently meeting with writers at the moment.

“The moment we saw The Midnight Walk, we knew it was something special,” said Dmitri M. Johnson and Mike Goldberg, Co-Founders of Story Kitchen. “Its world is hauntingly beautiful, its story emotionally raw, and its craftsmanship absolutely next-level. We’re thrilled to help bring MoonHood’s vision to an even broader audience.”

“Our team poured heart and soul into The Midnight Walk,” said Lyngeled and Redmalm. “To see that story now step into the world of film and television with a partner like Story Kitchen is a dream come true. We can’t wait for audiences to experience it in a whole new light.”

In our review, Chris said of The Midnight Walk: “The Midnight Walk is one of the best adventure games of 2025. I haven’t seen anything that appeals to my eyes quite like this in a long time. The effort put into the art style is clear, but the game is also enjoyable to play, if a little terrifying at times. Running away from monsters is something I never got used to. I loved the relationship with Potboy, and while tinged in sadness, hope was still at the centre of it all. I can’t stress this enough: everybody should play this game, and it’s even available to play in VR enhancing the mood and experience just that bit extra.”

The Midnight Walk is out now for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2.
