Croteam has confirmed a release date for The Talos Principle: Reawakened, and it’s coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X on April 10th.
Publisher by Devolver Digital, this is a chance for those like myself (sorry!) who never got around to try the game at the time, offering an Unreal Engine 5 overhaul to the visuals. Oh and it also has a demo as part of Steam Next Fest you can try out right now, so that’s nice too.
Here’s some of the features of the demo:
- This Talos Principle: Reawakened demo invites you to explore a breathtaking medieval environment filled with intricate puzzles and thought-provoking challenges
- Experience a carefully curated taste of puzzles from the full game, including key mechanics like laser connectors, force-field jammers, and pressure plates
- Solving puzzles is only the beginning. Try your hand at using the fully-featured Puzzle Editor. This tool allows you to build unique worlds and challenges, fosters creativity, and empowers our modding community to ensure a thriving future for the game
This definitive edition of the original Talos Principle features a dramatic Unreal 5-powered visual overhaul, quality of life improvements, new accessibility features, and an all-new chapter that delves deeper into the game’s award-winning philosophical narrative.
The Talos Principle: Reawakened is more than just a remaster: it’s a complete rebuild of Croteam’s classic puzzler, bringing its visuals, audio, and gameplay features in line with 2023’s critically acclaimed The Talos Principle 2.
Unlike some Steam Next Fest demos, by the way, this one won’t be going away when it all ends. Croteam says that this demo will be available from now, right up until the game launches, so no worries if you don’t have the time to spare right now, it’ll be there for a while.
