It’s been quite some time since Nintendo had a WWE game on its systems, but 2K has announced WWE 2K25 is hitting Switch 2 on July 23rd.
You’d have to go back to WWE 2K18 for the last mainline entry (which was very poorly received), though there was of course WWE 2K Battlegrounds that also came to Switch. But that’s all set to change with the power of the new console, apparently.
2K Games says: “Pre-order is available today for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, which will support the full set of WWE 2K25 game modes and match types, while also offering the ability to play offline modes on-the-go, and online modes with internet connection.”
There are to be three versions of WWE 2K25 on Switch 2, from the standard edition (£59.99), to the “Deadman Edition” (£89.99) which includes the Wyatt Sicks Pack and the Deadman Edition Bonus Pack (Mattel Elite “Greatest Hits” Undertaker and Original Undertaker (‘90) Persona Cards and playable Superstars, a useable Urn object, Undertaker ‘95 Mask cosmetic item for The Island, and Brother Love Manager).
Lastly, the “Bloodline Edition” (£119.99) will get you all of the above, plus the “Ringside Pass (Season Pass plus Superstar Mega-Boost), The Rock Nation of Domination Pack, which features a Rock Nation of Domination Persona card and playable Superstar, and will only be available as part of The Bloodline Edition”, and more.
In our review of WWE 2K25 on PS5, we said: “WWE 2K25 is an incredible game, offering fan service and so much to do across all of its modes. Its presentation is stunning, with arenas and Superstars all looking amazing. A lot of the new features are down to preference such as intergender wrestling or the third-person camera, yet you don’t have to use them. Gameplay is superb this year, with little tweaks making a pleasant difference. The Island shows plenty of promise, and while modes like MyFACTION don’t feel massively different, there’s plenty of new stuff in WWE 2K25 to make players dive in.”
WWE 2K25 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23rd.
