Sega has announced another free character drop for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds today, and it’s Ichiban Kasuga from the Like a Dragon series.
As with previous character drops, it’s more than just an opportunity to play as Ichiban, and the pack includes:
- Ichiban as a playable character
- Ichiban’s vehicle, the Dragon Brave
- Special emotes and sounds
Sega says: “Players who own either the Standard (physical or digital) or Digital Deluxe versions of the game will automatically receive the free Ichiban Content Drop. Please ensure that the game is updated to the latest version for the content to be downloaded properly.”
This new pack follows on from the Minecraft pack, and the reveal that Mega Man is also coming to the game. CrossWorlds is brimming with collaborations, and there’s a Nickelodeon one as well.
In our review of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, we said: “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds isn’t just the best racing game I’ve played all year, it’s the best racing game I’ve played in ages. The racing is frantic and fun, the variety of characters and weapons is impressive, and the amount of content is simply wild. If you go into this kart racer expecting it to struggle against its peers then you’re in for a shock, because Sonic and company are now in a league of their own.”.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is out now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A Switch 2 version is coming later.0
