Whether it’s after a huge battle, after a long day exploring, or because you need to return to real life, saving is so important, and there are a few different ways to do so. Drink Saviour Schnapps
The most effective way to save is by drinking Saviour Schnapps, even if it isn’t the most readily available. You can by these from traders or loot off bodies, but it’s always important to stockpile these for long questlines or after an intense fight. There are two types of this potion. Weak Saviour Schnapps will simply save the game and allow you to continue, while the Strong Saviour Schnapps will not only save the game, but also increase strength, vitality, and agility by 1 for three minutes.
Allow the game to save naturally
Perhaps the least guaranteed way to save your game, progressing through certain quests and completing them will save your game. If you’re planning to play for a solid chunk of hours in one sitting, this will happen naturally without you noticing. However, if you want to save intentionally, this isn’t the most reliable.
Save & Exit to menu
If you’ve had enough for one day, or want to save smart, pressing the start/options button will allow you to scroll down to the ‘Save & Exit to menu’ option. By doing so, you’ll leave the game and return to the menu. It can be a more laborious way to get around drinking Saviour Schnapps, but it’s a guaranteed way to return to your game from where you left without having to down a single potion.
Go to sleep
Another way to save your game in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is going to sleep. By returning to your bed and getting some much needed shut eye, you’ll be able to wake up with your game saved. While this is a reliable way to save your game, you’ll wake up hungry, so make sure you’ve got some food in your inventory, or are near a hot pot of food.
