Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 | How to find a spade

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Spade Guide

In one of the earlier quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll be tasked with finding a spade. Getting to the grave and realising you don’t have one is mildly annoying, so make sure you already have one. There are a fair few wild dogs hanging around, meaning you need to be quick. We’ve put together a simple guide that will show you exactly what you’ll need to do in order to find a spade in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Head to Troskowitz

While there might be a few ways to find a spade in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there’s a simple way to acquire one when you’re in the biggest town in the first region. As long as you have 6.6 Groshen, you’ll be able to buy one from the local trader in Troskowitz. It will be located in the ‘Useable’ section of his wears right next the lockpicks. If you’re lucky, you might even be able to haggle him down, but it’s a pretty decent value to begin with.

Also, if you have a good reputation with the people of the town, it might even be sold to you for less as well. It’s weight is 7, but at this point, you’ll likely have little to your name anyway. Either way, we’ve found this is the quickest way to acquire a spade without spending hours searching through every location on the map.

Revisit the grave

With your fancy new spade in your inventory, you will now be able to revisit the grave, with the new option to ‘start digging’ appearing. Now you’ll be able to uncover the secrets of the grave and continue with the quest. It’s an important part of gear, and certainly comes in handy further down the line, so getting it at this point means your sorted for future quests. You’ll be thanking us if you end up waking up at the crack of dawn to go digging up graves with a gravedigger.
