It might seem like such a simple thing to do, but knowing how to equip a torch in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is going to not only light the way, but save you from potential trouble with the law. There are plenty of ways to find a torch, such as buying from traders, finding on fallen enemies, and also seeing them scattered across settlements, but actually knowing how to equip a torcvh in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t as obvious as you might hope. With that in mind, we’ve put together a little guide to help.
Make sure it is equipped
You’ll pick up plenty of items and equipment on your travels, and some items aren’t automatically equipped. To do so, press down on the D-pad and scroll through your items until you find a torch (assuming you have one at this point). You’ll know it is equipped because the torch icon appears in your slot, but there’s also a green shield that will appear next to it in the list. This works similarly to all your items, and for every outfit you have, a torch will need to be available for them to be able to use it.
Use the D-pad
The next step to actually get it equipped is by pressing down on the d-Pad. From here you’ll soon see that the torch is now lit and you can travel through the darkness without the chance of falling into a grave, not seeing that ferocious pack of dogs you keep hear growling, and receive a relatively decent greeting from a guard instead of a grumpy and abrasive remark. It’s always worth picking up torches as you go because you’ll need them a considerable amount, and if anything happens to one of them, at least you have another to quickly equip.
