Revenge of the Savage Planet is a sequel bursting with things to do, secrets to uncover, and stuff to collect. One of the more enjoyable pursuits is capturing and researching all 36 species of alien life across its four core worlds. Some are super easy, but some are a little trickier – but you need them all if you want to unlock every upgrade and cosmetic option. Handily, we’ve got them all, so we’ve broken them down into a handy set of guides to help you find and nab them. This is part four of our Revenge of the Savage Planet capture guide: how to capture every creature on Quasadron IX.
While most of these creatures can be captured easily enough, you’ll want to scan them all first. If they’re aggressive, scanning them will expose their weak spot, allowing you to stun them. To capture a creature, you need to lasso it with the Proton Whip and pull it towards you, so the closer you can get the better.
CURADOR, ROLLY POLLY, MITO SLIME & TRICKLE: All four of these are available on the other worlds, so if you’ve caught them there, they’ll be the same here.
COMMON STRIPED PUFFER: Just your garden variety puffer alien, this zebra-like creature is found roaming the plains and is very easy to capture.
LURID STRIPED PUFFER: This psychedelic puffer is easy enough to capture, but will explode on death or contact, launching you into the air in a shower of sparkles.
WARDRILL: Easily the most aggressive creature in the game, these baboon-like aliens will charge you in groups and do serious damage. You’ll need to scan and stagger them before you can loop them in. They’re common all over the plains, but will absolutely try to kill you if they spot you.
ARFFALO: A huge beetle, the Arffalo will attack you if you get too close. You’ll need to scan it and stagger it with a weak spot shot before you can lasso it.
SLUGGATOR: This slug-like alligator will latch onto you with its super-fast tongue and drag you into its mouth like the Grab Grub. Shoot it in the mouth to stun it, then rope it for the capture.
ALPHA SLUGGATOR: A large, pale version of the Sluggator, this is caught in the same way.
SAVANNAH ERAFFE: This giraffe-like creature is the same as the Desert Eraffe. You’ll need to shoot it twice in the back of the head to dizzy it, and then you can capture it in the usual way.
TATUSHKEY: A big green turkey that will literally run screaming if you get too close, the Tatushkey is very fast and easy to miss. If you can get close enough by moving slowly, you won’t need to stun it. Just rope it and reel it in.
BUMBLAR: Little teleporting bees that hit you with their tongues, the Bumblar are a real pain as you explore the plains of Quasadron IX. They appear in groups out of thin air, and will need to be stunned with the water hose before they vanish again if you want to capture them.
BABUTT: Aggressive simians with actual butts for faces, they attack by spitting jets of burning lava goo at you. You’ll need to scan them and stun them to capture them – or for a laugh try covering them in green goo and see what happens.
