The longest questline in Revenge of the Savage Planet comes in the form of the Interstellar Enigma questline, a multi-part quest that presents a series of five challenge shrines located throughout the solar system. Each will require a different set of skills to overcome, and will reward you with a piece of the Pentaforce, a special galactic key that opens a mysterious, coveted location hidden within the stars.
To find out how to acquire the Interstellar Enigma questline, check out part one of this guide series where we show you how to complete the Shrine of Time on Stellaris Prime. Read on to find out how to complete the fifth and final part of the Interstellar Enigma quest, the Shrine of Challenge, in Revenge of the Savage Planet.
CHALLENGE: Unnatural Selection
LOCATION: Shrine of Challenge, Quasadron IX
HOW TO ACCESS THE SHRINE: You literally can’t access this shrine until you’re ready, as you need all of EKO’s drone upgrades to do it. You also need to complete the Fine, I’ll Do It quest, which sees you travelling to three points on the Quasadron IX map and using EKO to activate a trio of lasers. The quest itself is super simple, and will unlock the fifth and final Scrappi teleporter, which is blocked by a red forcefield. Activating the lasers drops the forcefield, allowing you to enter.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE: This is a trio of challenges, though technically the first barely registers.
Room 1: Grab a Blight Bomb from the plant and throw it at the green-covered switch to allow you to shoot it and open the door.
Room 2: Scrappi will unleash a bunch of cybernetic enemies on you, many of which are covered in the same green glow as the switch was. Use Blight Bombs to remove their shields so you can kill them. It’s a simple survival challenge, and shouldn’t prove too difficult if you keep moving.
Room 3: This contains the toughest boss of the game so far. The Cyber Wardrill is a huge mutated Wardrill that appears with a drone of its own and a green shield. Break the shield using Blight Bombs, and it will turn red, indicating that you need Bombegranate seeds to break this shield. Do this over and over, using Bombegranate to deplete its health whenever the shields are down.
It’s important to keep moving here, as the drone will target you until you can blow it up and it hits hard. Every time you deplete both shields a bunch of Cyber Tatushkeys will run in and explode if they get close to you.
Don’t bother shooting the Cyber Wardrill, just use Bombegranate and keep hook-shotting and jumping around the room. It helps if you’ve unlocked the Drone Tether that allows you to hook shot off EKO as it makes it easier to stay mobile. Kill the Cyber Wardrill and collect the final piece of the Pentaforce. Your greatest challenge awaits.
And now you know all there is to know about locating and completing the Unnatural Selection challenge in the Shrine of Combat, the fifth and final part of the Interstellar Enigma quest in Revenge of the Savage Planet.
