IO Interactive has released a new gameplay trailer for the PS VR2 version of HITMAN World of Assassination, coming on March 27th.
It has previously been set for a 2024 release, but was delayed until March 27th, and it’s looking mighty fine if this new trailer is any indication. It’s also slightly confusing, as there is already a PC VR version of the game, but this PlayStation VR2 version of HITMAN World of Assassination is getting a full upgrade, adding things like dual wielding, among others.
If you already own the game on PlayStation 5, you can upgrade for $9.99, €9.99, or £8.99. New players can get it through (and yes, this is complicated): HITMAN World of Assassination Part One – VR2 Edition, which gives access to “HITMAN Part One and the PS VR2 Upgrade Pack for $39,9, €39,99, or £32.99.”
Check out the trailer, below:
HITMAN World of Assassination brings together the best of HITMAN 1, HITMAN 2 and HITMAN 3 in a bundle that showcases the very best of the legendary stealth series. The PS VR2 release will support the original main campaign’s 22 unique locations and adds a variety of immersive VR-specific mechanics. Whether it’s picking locks to reach a vantage point, switching on a generator to provide a timely distraction, or knocking out two guards in a single movement, players will now have exponentially more ways to unleash their creativity in the World of Assassination.
As they live out Agent 47’s greatest adventures like never before, players can dual-wield an arsenal of over 100 different weapons and intuitively perform key movements with full ambidexterity such as reloading, holstering, aiming sniper rifles, and stealing disguises. In addition, PS VR2 provides new and unique technical capabilities with adaptive trigger support through the PS VR2 controllers, room-scale implementation, spatial interactions to touch, and more.
HITMAN World of Assassination is out now for PC, Xbox, and PS5, and is coming to PlayStation VR2 on March 27th.
