KARMA: The Dark World

Wired Productions has announced that KARMA: The Dark World, developed by Pollard Studio is now verified on Steam Deck. On top of that, a new cinematic filter mode has been released for free on PC and PlayStation 5.

The publisher says that: “This new feature transforms the acclaimed psychological thriller into a customizable visual experience, adding a new layer of immersion and cinematic flair to the title that has captivated audiences since its debut on March 27th.”

This new filter means there are six filters for the game ( 8MM Film, Fisheye, Dreamcore, Old Film, Low Saturation, and Nori-inspired Black and White).

The game is also now on sale (20% discount) on Steam and Epic Games Store, making it $19.99 / £15.99. This is to coincide with Wired Productions’ “birthday celebrations” throughout this month.

Inspired by the works of legendary creators such as David Lynch (Twin Peaks), Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid, Death Stranding), and Christopher Nolan (Inception, Interstellar), KARMA: The Dark World blends psychological horror with immersive storytelling, challenging players to uncover the deepest secrets hidden in the minds of their targets. Developed in Unreal Engine 5, the game delivers an intensely atmospheric experience with stunning visuals and a haunting narrative.

In our review of KARMA: The Dark World, we said: “While it is a psychological horror at its core, Karma: The Dark World makes you answer questions about what the real threat is. Monsters are lurking in the shadows, but are they really the enemy? Humanity’s need to control in search of greed and power is just as terrifying as some bloodied monstrosity, and the terror comes in the time after playing when you’re left thinking about some of the powerful story moments that weigh heavy on your mind.

It’s a darkly fascinating game that fulfils all the things I want out of a horror title, and while some of the puzzles are tough and getting around is slow at times, there’s no denying this is definitely one of the best horror titles of the year so far.”

KARMA: The Dark World is out now for PC and PS5.
