Konami and developer ZDT Studio have together announced Darwin’s Paradox, an action-platformer coming to PC and consoles this year.
Announced during the State of Play for February 2025 (along with a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater), the game looks gorgeous and like it’ll be a fun game to control, and is coming to PC (Steam), Switch, Xbox Series S|X, and PS5. Check out the announcement trailer, below:
We’ve got some details on the game to go with the reveal, as per the press release, below:
Players will tap into their octopus instincts to sneak through hostile territories patrolled by the very human—and definitely not alien—UFOOD INC. Using Darwin’s sucker-lined arms to maneuver past foes, players must use the mastery of the mollusk to deceive and distract with camouflage and carefully timed ink shots, utilizing the environment to gain the advantage. With these high-powered stealth skills, Darwin becomes the ultimate infiltrator of the animal kingdom… well, aside from snakes, of course.
Every stage of the game offers new paths to explore, each transforming while players complete puzzles and obstacle courses – from landfills rife with packs of rabid rats, to menacing mechanical underbellies of a food factory by the sea. Darwin’s Paradox! delivers high-quality visuals and a colourful cast of characters as players dive deeper into the game’s rich story.
Konami is on a bit of a roll lately, with the previous announcement that Silent Hill 2 (remake) has sold 2 million copies since it was released on October 8th, 2024. As mentioned earlier, we now know the release date for another Konami remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but also, the publisher has Yu-Gi-Oh! EARLY DAYS COLLECTION coming this month, and Suikoden I&II HD Remaster coming in March as well.
Darwin’s Paradox is coming to PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X later this year.
