Konami has released the opening cinematic for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater ahead of its late August release date, and it looks fantastic.
As you can imagine, the visuals have been completely redone. Konami says on the trailer description: “We’re sharing Kyle Cooper’s completely re-done opening sequence in the remake, accompanied by a new recording of the theme song performed by Cynthia Harrell!”
The publisher added: “And, you can look forward to enjoying the staff credits and interactive elements from the original, included in the in-game version of the opening.”
Konami says that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be a “faithful remake” of the original 2004 PS2 game, adding that “a new generation of players and loyal fans alike can experience the origin story of the famed BIG BOSS, and witness how his legend was forged in the crucible of Operation Snake Eater”, and also confirming the remake will star the original English and Japanese voice characters.
There will be a digital deluxe edition, and a physical deluxe which will include the “Sneaking DLC pack”, which includes:

There is, however, a very special edition, too. The collector’s pack (above) includes:

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming on August 28th to Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
