1047 Games has announced that a Splitgate 2 Open Beta will be arriving on May 22, giving players a chance to experience the sequel of the highly successful portal FPS next Month. A trailer has been released that shows off what can be expected from the beta, featuring plenty of new content.

The Splitgate 2 Open Beta will include the following content:
- 25+ Weapons – featuring the brand new Borealis, an energy carbine power weapon
- 15+ Maps – including two new massive 24-Player Onslaught maps, Drought and Fracture
- 10+ Modes – with fan-favourite Takedown making its triumphant comeback, where teams battle to eliminate all members of the opposing team before they can respawn
On top of the news of the Splitgate 2 Open Beta, 1047 Games has also announced a new concept within the game called “infinite” maps. While nothing else was given away, the developers plan to be revealing more information about what infinite maps are, along with other features from the upcoming release, closer to May 22.
