During the Convergence Showcase, Junkfish has announced a release date for first-person survival horror title, Wilderdark, and it’s coming in November.
Now it might not seem the best decision to take on GTA VI this November, but someone had to do it, and the other months this year are seriously stacked due to everyone avoiding the behemoth that is GTA, but this is a very different game and is aiming for a different audience. Wilderdark will be hitting PC on November 3rd, and we’ve got a new trailer and some information about it just below for you.
Should you fancy trying before you buy, there’s a Steam demo already available as well. The demo has been updated too, adding a world map to the journal, and other quality of life improvements and bug fixes, too.
In Wilderdark, players will take up the role of field operative and explore an eerie, mystery-shrouded island in a blend of survival horror, stealth and discovery. Overrun by a strange ectoparasitic organism corrupting both dinosaurs and plant life, players must document the island’s ecosystem, collect samples and ultimately uncover the fate of the many expeditions that came before.
- Explore and investigate: A crash landing on the island means starting with minimal resources and tools. Stealth is required to survive the island filled with danger, and piece together the truth through environmental storytelling, photographic documentation, and crafted tools. Careful use of resources is the only way to hide and survive the hunt of apex predators
- Ectoparasites: Much is unknown of their origin and their effects on organic life, including humans. One wrong move could mean the end or the start of something unimaginable.
Wilderdark is coming to PC on November 3rd.
