Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is a metroidvania with plenty of places to explore. On your journey to recover the various mega batteries, there will be areas unreachable at first. Some of the areas are blocked by large pools of water. While obvious the ability to cross water in Pipistrello can be unlocked, it isn’t clear how at first. Thankfully, we’ve put together a guide that will tell you where to go and how to unlock the ability to cross water in this Pipistrello guide.
Head to Plaza Roquefort Shopping Mall
It’s not too difficult to get to the mall. Once there, head to the back of the first area towards the farthest left door. Once there, you’ll see a guy trying to mop up the water. Take a left and make your way through the various rooms. The first contains four of those annoying bees and a purple gelatinous blob. It’s a simple case of just following the pathway through the rooms as there are no split rooms with two exits. It won’t be long until you reach the Pet Lounge Play Area with a family of three grey beetles.
Find Staggie
The youngest child called Staggie runs off, and you have to chased him down. You don’t have the yoyo at this point because it’s been used to open a door. Enemies will need to be knocked off into the water instead. Once you’ve followed the route to the end, Staggie will be sat in a sand pit. Interact with them and he’ll take you across the water for a quikc and easy route back to his family.
Once you’ve spoken to the parent, your Auntie will tell you a new ability has been learned. This new ability called Walk-the-Dog can be used to cross water in Pipistrello and help you reach plenty of previously unreachable areas. What’s more, it’s a core ability that doesn’t need to be changed out or re-equipped once it’s been obtained.
