Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 | How to use Perk Points

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Perk Points guide

Building up Henry to become a powerful fighter, smart thinker, and suave soul takes time, but using Perk Points in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is going to be vital if you’re going to get through the game. There are so many perks available (275 in total!), that it can be overwhelming to know where to start. Not only that, tailoring your character and even knowing how to do so is daunting at first. With that in mind, we’ve put together a guide that will tell you how to use Perk Points in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Familiarise yourself with the categories

Before you’ve used a single one, head into your menu and scroll over to the ‘Player’ tab. Once there, you’ll see your base stats which include your main level, as well as Strength, Agility, Vitality, and Speech. If you open one of these up, you’ll see a ton of different Perks you’ll be able to unlock. By pressing L1/LB and R1/RB, you’ll be able to familiarise yourself with the other categories. Secondary includes stats like Charisma, Visibility, and Speed. The Skills tab includes Alchemy, Craftsmanship, Stealth, and more, while Combat offers skills in Warfare, Swords, Heavy Weapons, and a few other areas.

Knowing how Perk Points work

There will only be a few Perk Points available to learn at a time. This is because your main level will need to increase to a particular requirement (shown at the bottom of a Perk’s description), or you will need to do more of a particular task to make it available. When you do have a Perk Point available to spend, and a small yellow star appears next to a silver icon, that means it can be learnt. Each Perk has a description for you to read. Once you’re ready to learn, click X/A to do so. The Perks you have learnt will always have gold icons instead of silver.
