Anyone who has played Monster Hunter recently will know that there’s always an arena mode in which you can just challenge monsters to a fight without having to go out on quests. You also might be wondering if Monster Hunter Wilds has one and when it unlocks. Well, in this handy guide we’ll explain exactly how to access and fight in the Monster Hunter Wilds arena, Wounded Hollow.
MONSTER HUNTER WILDS ARENA | HOW TO UNLOCK WOUNDED HOLLOW
In order to find and unlock the Arena you’ll need to advance the story into High Rank, and complete Chapter 4-2, which includes the quests Chasing Change, Rendezvous, and finally Lurking Shadows.
The final quest requires you to track and defeat a Frenzied Nerscylla, which has found its way inside Wounded Hollow and must be dealt with. Once you have defeated the monster, Wounded Hollow will appear as a destination on your map.
HOW DO I FIGHT MONSTERS IN WOUNDED HOLLOW?
While Wounded Hollow will undoubtedly be a destination for bounties, hunts, and Event Quests after launch, for now the only way to fight monsters here is to travel to Wounded Hollow and see which random beastie has wandered into the enclosure.
ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL EVENTS IN WOUNDED HOLLOW?
Not yet, though in previous games many Event Quests were held in the Arena, and there were usually special quests handed out at the Arena Counter tasking you with defeating one or several monsters together. Monster Hunter Wilds is highly likely to follow this pattern in the future, though nothing is yet confirmed.
