They weave vast, sticky webs across their territory, using them and various status ailments to corner prey before utilizing pincer-like jaws to finish it off. Strategy

Weak Point: Pincer
Breakables: Left Claw, Mantle, Stinger x2
Tail Sever: No
Helpful Hints:
The effects that Nerscylla can inflict are your first cause for concern It can either poison you with its stinger, or swing with its purple stingers open which if they touch you will also inflict it. You’ll need poison resistance, or to be mindful of dodging these attacks a lot. Sleep is an annoyance but only lasts for a few seconds, with hopefully a fellow hunter or Palico helping you out. If you get webbed (expect two rounds of these to be fired) then quickly wiggling the stick will free you as quickly as possible. With those effects considered, the Nerscylla itself isn’t as strong as other monsters, more of a nuisance that with mounting effects can prove cumbersome. Once you master these, damaging her is easy, and she will fall quickly.

Weaknesses

Weapons: Blunt to the Head, Slash to the Belly and Pierce to the Stinger are where you will get the most damage.
Effects: Most effects are nullified, although Fireblight does have a higher chance of taking affect.
Elements: Fire for the Gypceros mantle, or Thunder-element once it is destroyed.
Status Effects: All status effects are possible, although Paralysis works extremely well, whereas Sleep does not.
Items: Flash Pods and traps will work.
