Monster Hunter Wilds Ajarakan | How to beat
General Info
Name: Ajarakan
Monster Type: Fanged Beast
Known Habitats: Basin, Wyveria
Characteristics:
Characteristic by their highly developed carapaces, Ajarakan wrap themselves in molten metal that they rub together to heat up and create explosions. Presumably due to the friction of the metal, they can reach high enough temperatures to melt even the ground or bullets. They can also use their strong limbs to grip onto the ceiling and move around freely, so a hunter must watch out from every angle, including above.
Special Attack: Weak Roar, Minor Tremor, Fireblight, Blastblight
Strategy
Weak Point: Arm
Breakables: Back
Tail Sever: Yes
Helpful Hints:
Firstly this monster is hot, so you’ll want a Cool Drink on hand or utilise Chillmantle Bugs to keep your health from sapping. If you can find Watermoss in the environment, using this will also cool Ajarakan down. The monster is quick and aggressive, so you will need to be too. Keeping to it’s side, generally will avoid most of its flailing arm attacks, and puts you in a positive position when it buries its arms into the ground to create lava attacks. When it plunges both arms in and creates a tremor, be sure to dodge to the side. After this attack, his arms will be weak to a free wound attack so take advantage. His big attack sees him spin around violently, then he will fly into the air and slam towards you. Be sure to dodge away from him to avoid taking huge damage.
