Monster Hunter Wilds Nu Udra | How to beat

Name: Nu Udra
Monster Type: Cephalapod
Known Habitats: Basin
Characteristics:
The celaphapod that reigns supreme over Oilwell Basin’s ecosystem. Usually, when sighted, Nu Udra is covered in oilsilt, but when enraged it will ignite this coating, transfiguring itself into a horror of flame. The oculi that appear on its body and many arms are presumed to be sensory organs but the truth is still being investigated.
Special Attack: Weak Roar, Fireblight
Strategy
Weak Point: Head
Breakables: Mouth
Tail Sever: Yes (Arm x6)
Helpful Hints:
Similar to the Ajarakan fight, you’ll want a Cool Drink on hand or utilise Chillmantle Bugs to keep your health from sapping. If you can find Watermoss in the environment, using this will douse any aflame tentacles Nu Udra has. With all its tentacles, there’s no real “safe” side of the monster, so try as best you can to focus on a single tentacle, to try and wound it and eventually sever it. The less tentacles you have to deal with, and especially if it isn’t aflame, this fight is easier to deal with. Also be on the lookout for environments you can interact with to damage Nu Udra, such as The Ancient Forge.
Weaknesses
Weapons: The Head and Mouth will get you the most damage with all weapons

Elements: Water-element weapons are the most effective.
Status Effects: All status effects are possible, but Paralysis and Blastblight are less effective.
Items: Pods and Sonic Bombs don’t work, but traps do.
