Developer Space Goblin has announced that its botany-centric survival game Astrobotanica is going to give Kickstarter backers a chance to play it early.
The campaign itself will launch at the beginning of Spring, though there isn’t a final date, so the team is urging interesting players to keep an eye on the pre-launch page, here. The team adds that: “The crowdfunding campaign will provide backers with an opportunity to greatly influence the game’s development, by gaining early access to a pre-alpha build of the game. While the team keeps working on expanding the game content and mechanics, they welcome early feedback to shape the game’s foundations with the participation of Kickstarter backers. ASTROBOTANICA is slated for release next Winter on PC via Steam Early Access.”
“This campaign is foremost about collaboration. We want our backers to have a say in how the game evolves, and we’re excited to give them access to a pre-alpha build before anyone else so they can help care and cultivate ASTROBOTANICA alongside us.” Said Arek Woźniak, Game Director. “We hope this will bear fruit for all. The community’s voice is our key guide in further development of the game. We can’t wait to see first comments and discussions through the Kickstarter page, which should be ready to launch in just a few weeks.”
ASTROBOTANICA stands on a core foundation of survival games, but instead of unleashing dangers and threats on players, it is filled with positivity and relaxation via exploration, puzzle-solving, experimenting, and intriguing collaboration with Primal Humans. As you embark on your adventure, you’ll embody an extraterrestrial named Xel, highly educated biology scientist, who crash-landed on a prehistoric Earth, and must now use botany know-how and skills to survive, shape, and deal with the surrounding environments.
Supporters who back the Kickstarter campaign will gain exclusive rewards, including access to a closed alpha version of ASTROBOTANICA. The campaign will launch this spring, and Interested players should sign up now to follow the game and be notified as soon as it goes live. First backers will be awarded with additional early bird discounts.
