NetEase Games has revealed a host of information about Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 ahead of its February 21st release date.

Probably the biggest part of the update is the fact two new heroes are coming to the game in the form of The Thing and Human Torch, adding to an already pretty huge roster of playable characters. There’s also a new Central Park map, and the team has also released a new “Dev Vision” video talking about the update.

First up then, check out the new Dev Vision trailer, which sums up a lot of the info for you.

Next up, we’ve got an official description and new video for Human Torch:

Human Torch (Duelist)

Johnny Storm is the Fantastic Four’s resident hothead heartthrob, always managing to look cool while turning up the heat! Johnny joined his sister on a wild experimental space mission in the hopes of visiting the stars, instead he became the brightest star of them all with the power to ignite his body as the Human Torch.

The Human Torch adds an intense flare to every battle with scorching flames. When he’s not busy burning Dracula’s legions with flames brighter than the sun itself, he’s soaring across the city to gather Chronovium and scavenge for parts of the Timestream Reintegration Device.

Moving on, it’s The Thing‘s turn:

The Thing (Vanguard)

Ben Grimm originally signed up to be a pilot for his pal Reed, but he never imagined that he’d return from the mission as an indescribable monster: The Thing. Even though beaming cosmic rays transformed his flesh, a heart of gold still beats in his rocky exterior.

As New York City plunged into eternal night, the Thing has made it his mission to selflessly protect his home and lead missions to collect Chronovium by putting his piloting skills to the test.

Lastly, NetEase has also detailed tournament plans, which you can check out below. Meanwhile the “Game update” notes that include the full hero balance adjustments list and patch notes, can be found here.

The recent in-client tournament, the Marvel Rivals Championship (MRC), maxed out its Faction registrations in North America and after the upcoming update in the second half of Season 1, the Marvel Rivals team will be increasing that limit. There will be a series of Marvel Rivals Invitationals (MRI) set to kick off at the end of February and continue into March, paving the way for the upcoming grand championship.

Marvel Rivals is out now and free-to-play for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
