History in digital form.
PGA Tour 2K25

As part of Season 2 of PGA TOUR 2K25, HB Studios has added The Old Course at St Andrews Links to the game, and a new video has been released for it.

The behind the scenes video shows how the course was captured, to recreate the digital version of this historic course. It also features narration by Lead Audio Designed at HB Studios, John McCarthy.

The video description reads; “Tee off at the Home of Golf —where 600 years of history echo with every swing. Take the greatest walk in the game, across the storied Swilcan Bridge and into PGA TOUR 2K25. The Old Course at St Andrews Links is now yours to play, anytime, anywhere, in Season 2.”

Check it out below.

PGA Tour 2K25 season 2 added quite a bit:

  • The Old Course at St Andrews Links “The Home of Golf” course available for the first time in the franchise.
  • Featured Archetype is the Greenskeeper: compete specific seasonal quests tailored to this playstyle to earn rewards. Once over 85 OVR, the “Green Reader” skill unlocks. This highlights slope severity much clearer.
  • Challenges game mode offers bite-sized challenges with set parameters, with reward on offer for completion.
  • New 3-Hole course developed by HB Studios in partnership with Charles Schwab. It launches on May 21, a day before the pros tee off at the Charles Schwab Challenge. 11 exclusive in-game apparel rewards are on offer to unlock.
  • New Clubhouse Pass: includes free reward tiers including a Cobra White Snapback, Malbon Shorts, and a Ruby Titliest T100 Iron.

In our review of PGA Tour 2K25 we said: “PGA Tour 2K25 is a fine game of golf. It looks and sounds lovely, it has an intuitive and fun control system, and can be tricksy and nuanced or as hardcore as you want it to be. Just go in and do it how you feel most comfortable and you will have fun either way. It understands what a video game should be whilst also being reverential and respectful to the sport and its fans, and you will find layers of hidden depth not just in the supreme physics engine and on-course gameplay but in what the game throws at you in terms of content and surprises. Well played, 2K. Now bring back NFL 2K please.”

PGA Tour 2K25 is out now for  PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
