Level Infinite has revealed the full details of the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE x Resident Evil collaboration, which launches today.
As part of the collaboration (called “Reborn Evil”), the sci-fi shooter Goddess of Victory: NIKKE will add a Resident Evil based crossover story, new characters, exclusive costumes, and some new event based content.
“The Resident Evil franchise is an iconic series that I’m excited to bring to the GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE world, including storytelling elements relating to the virus transmission, the tragic consequences it brings, and how the protagonists overcome the crises,” said Yoo Hyung-Suk, Director of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE. “Throughout the process, I wanted to highlight the changes and entanglements of the characters’ relationships to seamlessly integrate with NIKKE’s worldview. The content of this collaboration was designed with the goal of enriching the key appeal of both games to the greatest extent possible.”
Here’s the new playable characters:
- SSR Ada Wong – The enigmatic spy enters the battlefield as a powerful Burst III attacker. Ada boosts her own strength and unleashes devastating attacks when activating her Burst Skill. She is available for recruitment now.
- SSR Jill Valentine – The legendary “super cop” of Raccoon City will arrive as an attacker on October 2. Jill charges special ammunition with each reload, and her Burst Skill transforms her rounds into enhanced bullets that pierce defences and deal massive damage.
- SR Claire Redfield – The university student-turned-survivor joins as a support unit. Claire combines herbs to heal allies and remove debuffs when using her Burst Skill. She is available for the duration of the ‘REBORN EVIL’ event.
“The in-game event collaboration introduces a defense mini-game featuring SD versions of Ada, Jill, and Claire. Second, this event includes effects such as a flashlight, which only illuminates the character’s surroundings, and eerie staging set against the backdrop of an old mansion. Additionally, homages and Easter eggs can be found throughout the event, which may prompt Resident Evil fans to consider whether it’s a direct reference to the original – for all players to experience the essence of the survival horror series.”
Here’s the new costumes and rewards:
- Ada’s “DRESS” and Jill’s “BATTLE SUIT” costumes can be unlocked via a time-limited pass.
- Ada and Jill both feature free costumes included with their recruitment and appointed tasks.
- Additional outfits include D: Killer Wife’s “Secret Agent” and a brand-new costume for K will arrive with the October Mission Pass.
